MATHParents & Guardians,
Students are encouraged to log minutes on ST Math at home as it reinforces concepts that have been previously taught at school. They can login using their specific password. This password and username does not change from year to year, unless they are new to the school or district. ST Math is a program that Hunter Elementary invests in every year because when used correctly, it does bolster student learning. There is an app that can be downloaded to any type of device and can also be accessed online by clicking on the JiJi image to the left. |
Independent Practice:
**If a student is absent, please email me as soon as possible so I can send any missed independent practice home.** Thanks! If students have not completed all the independent practice activities, they will not be allowed to re-assess on that standard.**

MATH SITES
The math tool that Granite District provides our students with is GoMath! The website is also a great site if a student is stuck with homework.
It offers simplified step-by-step instruction which may assist in homework completion. It can be accessed by using the link to the left and students can log in via their Granite Portal and clicking on the GoMath tile on their portal home page. They can also log in on any device using their 9 number and @graniteschools.org. Then their 9 number again to log in. |
XtraMath is the site our class will be using to help students commit to memory their daily multiplication facts. It can be used on any device!
It tracks students common errors, as well as facts that they have mastered and alerts me when students have reach a goal. As students, "pass off" a set of facts they will be rewarded in class with a menu of items. We tell our students every year that if they can commit these multiplication facts to memory that the math they learn with us will become more fun. |
